"There was a woman who, with scissors and light, knew how to make the shadows speak. She had been nicknamed The Mistress of Shadows. And her shadows said, "Once upon a time..."

La Maîtresse des Ombres is a movie-concert based on 4 short films by German director Lotte Reiniger. These are 4 animated films made from cut out silhouettes, accompanied, even diverted by the narration of Sandrine Gniady and the music of Benjamin Macke.
